MBBS education typically spans five and a half years, divided into pre-clinical, para-clinical, and clinical phases.
During the pre-clinical years, students focus on foundational subjects like anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry. This period is crucial for building a
strong understanding of the human body’s structure and function.
In the para-clinical years, students delve into disciplines such as pathology, microbiology, pharmacology, and forensic medicine. These subjects provide essential knowledge about diseases, medications, and investigative procedures.
The clinical phase involves rotations through various medical specialties, including internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology,
psychiatry, and others. This hands-on training takes place in our hospital and allows students to apply their theoretical knowledge in real patient care
settings.
In addition to traditional teaching methods, the course incorporates community health postings, where students work in rural or urban health centers to gain exposure to primary healthcare delivery and public health challenges specific to India.
Throughout the program, emphasis is placed on ethics, professionalism, and communication skills, reflecting the cultural and social values integral to India’s
medical profession.
